In an effort to assert that Umar bin al-Khattab (Radiya-llahu-`an-hu) mistreated his female subjects, "The Shi'ite Offensive" cited a tradition transmitted by ibn Sa`d in al-Tabaqat al-Kubra. Nevertheless, this report is flawed due to the transmission of `Ali bin Zaid ibn Jiddan, who is widely discredited transmitter by the unanimity of hadith critics. Abu Ja`far ibn Abi Shayba records the following statement from `Ali ibn al-Madini when questioned about `Ali bin Zaid:
Translation: "I asked `Ali (ibn al-Madini) regarding `Ali bin Zaid bin Jiddan. He replied: He is weak according to us."
Similarly, `Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi Hatim relays from his father:
Translation: "I asked my father regarding `Ali bin Zaid. He replied: He is not strong, his hadith is not written nor used as evidence."

If a Rafidhi accuses Umar of raping a girl then they are Nasibi since they are accusing Ali of it. Any accusation to Umar (as) is an accusation to Ali (as).
